The Points of Health Project (PHP) is a prevention and education program of the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) in collaboration with the Pima County Health Department and other community partners. The goals of PHP are to reduce substance abuse, HIV and hepatitis among Latino and African American men who have sex with men (MSM) and Latino and African American jail/prison re-entry men who reside in the Tucson metropolitan area.

In a series of group workshops and social activities that will focus on prevention, education, communication and interpersonal skills, participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Build or rebuild positive self-esteem
  • Learn and practice assertiveness skills
  • Realize what personal wellness really is
  • Discover what it really means to have personal and social responsibilities
  • Develop positive and healthy personal relationships
  • Promote resiliency
